Boost to give students laptops for learning
As part of the $3 million funding to support those on the financial frontline with Response and Recovery during COVID-19, Ecstra Foundation is proud to partnering with ABCN.
Ecstra Foundation is proud to support the the Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN), to supply free laptops to students who don’t have a suitable device at home for remote learning.
This life-changing gift has allowed ABCN to order 320 laptops from WorkVentures, a social enterprise which recycles and refurbishes laptops while empowering young people to kick-start their tech careers. The WorkVentures team has been busy preparing these laptops for students as quickly as possible - we're proud to be partnering with them to bridge the digital divide facing too many young Australians.
Ecstra Foundation’s grant aligns with their focus on financial education in schools, and was provided through the Ecstra Response and Recovery grant round. It supports ABCN’s #Laptops4Learning emergency response initiative, sourcing laptops for schools that are struggling to equip students with the tools they need to access schooling and support.
Many of companies have pledged to join the initiative by donating laptops, which will help students get through the #covid19 crisis, and thrive beyond it.
This funding is part of the $3 million Response and Recovery grand round for those on the financial frontline.
