Ecstra works with a diverse range of grant partners including charities, community organisations, social enterprise and researchers.
Our approach to grant making
We support community legal services, financial counselling bodies, sector peaks and front line service providers. Over 5 years we have been fortunate to work with 136 partners across Australia.
With the launch of our 2024 Strategy, Ecstra is increasingly focused on addressing the persistent gaps in providing and accessing financial education for Australians across all life stages. We continue to support grant partners on a range of financial capability initiatives, mostly on a multi-year basis to provide funding certainty and to maximise our collective impact.

Completed grants
Ecstra proactively sources financial capability project partners. We previously ran a series of open grant rounds in specific areas of need to develop new approaches and scale successful initiatives.
Previous grant rounds focused on women’s economic security, community foundations, older Australians, rapid response funding for consumer facing organisations to navigate the immediate responses to the pandemic, and addressing the financial capability needs of diverse communities.

Funding principles and grant guidelines
Ecstra currently works with grant partners, mostly on a multi-year basis. We are not seeking unsolicited requests for support, however we are always happy to answer financial capability and general enquiries.
